2013

Where It All Started

Studybox Research was built on more than a decade of innovation in the IVD industry. Our journey began in 2013 with the founding of Toolbox Medical Innovations, a company dedicated to helping diagnostic developers bring innovative IVD technologies from concept to commercialization. Toolbox became a trusted partner by providing product development, human factors engineering, clinical research, regulatory support, and manufacturing services contributing to dozens of successful FDA submissions along the way.
2020

Joining a Global Leader

In 2020, Toolbox Medical Innovations became part of TE Connectivity's expanding IVD Solutions business. As part of a global organization, our team helped support clinical studies and regulatory programs while adopting enterprise-level quality systems, operational processes, and best practices that further strengthened our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
Today

A New Chapter: Studybox Research

When TE Connectivity later made the strategic decision to exit the IVD services business, our leadership team established Studybox Research to continue the work we were passionate about. We retained the same experienced leadership, much of the same clinical and regulatory team, and the proven Quality Management System that had been refined over more than a decade. Today, as a specialized CRO and integrated SMO focused exclusively on IVDs, we combine the discipline of an established quality organization with the agility of a lean, independent company allowing us to deliver faster study startup, responsive project management, and exceptional clinical execution for diagnostic innovators.
